  1. I want to tell about The American Education System's differences from Turkey's. There are some differences and similarity between them. Our many lessons are more difficult than American's. They get more superficial lessons while studying although their school prices are more expensive than ours and the other countries. Their environment is more formal and hard than ours. In my opinion their social life is much worse than what they thought. On the other hand many people like their schools life and system. I cannot understand why It is very popular.

  2. We read 'The Pursuit of Excellence' last week.It mentions American colleges and universities.Community colleges are very common in the United States. It is educated to pursue one or two years of higher education or higher education or occupational training without having to leave their communities.Community collegees system including four kinds of programs(transfer programs, occupational programs, remedial programs, continuing education).Community colleges have grown every year.Universities in Turkey do not develop themselves because there are not enough professors and techonologic tools. In other problem is about required attendance. This problem should be solve suddenly.

  3. Our topic was related to American education system and other countries’ education system in the last week. Firstly, the text was very long, but it has very detailed information. First of all, we learned that a lot of students from other countries prefer American universities-not only undergraduate students, but also graduates. Secondly, It continued with details, such as the United States’ 3500 institutions were flooded with 39,600 students from China and 36,610 students from Japan. It was followed by India and Canada. It means there are a lot of students from foreign countries. Thirdly, American universities have a lot of social opportunities. In America , it is assumed that student's social lives are as important as their education. In addition, I think, In Turkey, the education system is very difficult. If the students changed their schools,it would make confusion. Finally, it was mentioned in the passage that American universities have financial problems that might be true.

  4. Last week, our topic was “The Pursuit of Excellence’’. This reading text was mainly about systems of education in America. I have learned the university education system in America. This reading text made me realize that education systems are different from each other countries. The author couldn’t manage to keep me interested in the text because this reading text is too long, it was hard to read, it contains a lot of details and information. Therefore, I was bored while I was reading the text. If I had the chance to talk to the author of this text, I would ask him that why this text is only about the university education system in America.

  5. We read “The Pursuit of Excellence” last week.It was about university education system in America.Firstly, authour mentioned about perciption.Authour gave an example. There were blind men and one elephant. After blind men inspected, each blind men reached different conclusion. It is a very popular philosophical experiment. Secondly, the text gave some information about foreign students. It mentioned why many students have gone to America each year.According to text, most European and Asian universities provide an elite serviceto a small and privileged clientile.Students find American universities far more welcoming.I think it is the most important factor for students."The egalitarian conception thay everyone has a right to an education appropriate to his potential is a highly democratic and compassionate standard",says Marvin Bressler, professorof sociology and education specialist at Princeton University. On the other hand,Briton Christopher Ricks says,"Teaching T.S.Eliot to British undergraduates is an easier task at Cambridge but I find teaching at Boston University very rewarding.I am not against elitism ,but I happen to like having people who are more eager to learn.

  6. The text was about the education system in America. .To many differences,it's changing (having an education)according the culteres..Let's start then:first of all education plays an impportant role for the people,it is one of the main parts in their life. That they consider the education significant is because they want to have a high level of life.İf you have a good educetion it provides you good life.it' makes you happy, makes you positive to every situation. You can feel yourself rich.if we look america is one the biggest countrt in the world. And i hear that everybodyy wants to go there to educate although it's too expensive. But i know this their education system is better then us .Because they're social life is better than us.Also the government provides them to part time works for their future.İf we want to compare them with turkey turkey also not easy about the education.System is makes you really confused.America's education system (again)if you wanna educate in amerca yoou can have a too any friends, and you can build up yourself with to many friendss.İt provides to many positive effects to your life.
